ASEAN Teenage Pregnancy Prevention Project

The implementation of ASEAN Work-Life Balance Project in 2015- 2017 to especially promote women’s economic empowerment has revealed that girls disempowerment due to early pregnancy deter them from achieving social-economic empowerment in early adulthood.  The project is seeking funding to target low-income girls in rural and urban areas.

This is the eHomemakers’ internship program that has been going on for over 10 years. We are having more people in the team than before.

ECHO2U (In progress)

Based on ECHO webapp, we are building a mobile app to enable farmers and producers to directly sell their products to end-consumers. 

ECHO (DWMA) an application that enables organization to effectively organize beneficiaries, volunteers, and affiliates through email, SMS with a reporting platform.

Our advocacy for governments of ASEAN to institute enabling policies in their countries to gain access to and make better work-life balance for all.

The Salaam Wanita (SW) project launched in June 2002. The members are the urban poor who live in the Klang Valley and Ipoh include single mothers, homemakers, disabled women, patients with chronic illnesses, and women who are the primary care takers of dependents or those with chronic illnesses.

Project WHEE! is a rural community development project involving youth participants supported by eHomemakers. This project entails a cultural exchange experience in Bario, Sarawak, where participants serve the rural community through meaningful efforts.

Support EnWeave Community, the Ecobasket-making community under Salaam Wanita, a pro-poor community project by eHomemakers.

Our e-community promotes self-help, business partnerships and entrepreneurship development for those who want to balance work and home life. Our social profit is derived from a pro-poor project focusing on Eco-Baskets production and service provision to empower women to embark on social-economic self-reliance.

eHomemakers and its ‘Eco-Basket Project’ believes that empowering women with micro-business skills can go a long way to transform any woman into a confident and economically empowered innovator. We intend to reflect our dedication to fair and just business practices right from the production to the marketing. Help a woman earn a living with dignity by shopping for a better world. 

‘Portraits of Perseverance’ is an on-going multimedia community project that follows the lives of Malaysian women who persevere in the face of chronic illnesses, disabilities and transgender discrimination. It consists of blogs, video journals and TV documentaries. The first project (2011 to 2012) tells the stories of Lucy, Nisha, Pong and Sulastri. The second project in 2013 brings you Pong’s rehabilitation journey.
