Julia Hanah Zoo is a Peace Fellow from the Washington-based Advocacy Project, a partner organization of eHomemakers. Her work at eHomemakers is focused on strategizing the organization with the usage of ICT in its projects which are aimed at improving the lives of women homemakers in Malaysia. She received her master’s degree in international public policy from New York University Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service. Her research interest is in public-private partnerships for development particularly regarding Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D), which was largely a result of her prior experience as a computer programmer for Samsung Data Systems, an IT solution company in Seoul. She interned at the United Nations ICT Task Force where she was involved in the partnership building projects for Global Alliance for ICT4D. She also conducted a UN DESA research on national Economic and Social Councils, highlighting the role of business and civil society in participatory governance. She received her BA in education and sociology from Yonsei University in Seoul and attended Assumption University in Bangkok as a transfer student.
